I know I am a year late in hearing this but better late than never.. I am reading the above comments and I feel bad that a few of them were overly critical of you. Opinions are subjective but you were not flat from beginning to end as one of them said.. This is a very challenging song to sing and as Connie said, you were way above average... I don't critique but I don't fluff either. If i thought you sounded the way they commented, I wouldn''t have commented at all.. Keep em coming...Joyce |
Reply: Thank you so much for your comment. This song was recorded 3 years ago in a studio and at the time I liked it, but now that I have grown as a singer, I don't like it as much. I can tell where I messed up in the song. When I posted it and read those critical comments I was like omg, and I didn't post anything on here again until last night. Thank you for your opinion!! |

I used to do this song a LOT... ;) Your vocal tone is nice, kind of breathy and raspy which suits Jewel songs well. Unfortunately, your pitch is flat all the way through.. i kept just wanting to reach out and tweak your pitch up a notch. lol ;) Timing was a bit off on the chorus and you had a tendency to be a bit nasal sounding. Your higher notes were kind of weak, they need more clarity and power for this to sound right. I think this could sound really good on you with a little work. I'm giving you a 7. |
