The initial recording was made on November 21, 1961, with Don Costa for the Reprise album "Sinatra & Strings". Approximately two years later, Sinatra recorded the song again on January 28, 1964, this time with an arrangement by Nelson Riddle. This version was released the same year on the Reprise album "Frank Sinatra Sings 'Days of Wine and Roses,' 'Moon River' and Other Academy Award Winners".
In 2015, a radio recording from December 12, 1945, which coincided with Sinatra's 30th birthday, from the broadcast "Songs by Sinatra" was released on the Columbia box set "Frank Sinatra: A Voice On Air (1935-1955)". |
