Reply: I actually didn't know Charlie Chaplin wrote songs...the first time I submitted this was 2 yrs ago and Joyce dropped that tidbit of info..So this time I added it... researching origins of songs is so very interesting...Thanks for your very kind words Mark..

Abbygail25 performs This Is My Song on Karaoke Showcase of Karaoke Scene Magazine Online: Abbygail25 performs This Is My Song on Karaoke Showcase - Charlie Chaplin wrote this song to use in a movie he wrote and directed..He wanted Al Jolson to sing the song but since Al had passed away Chaplin just used the instrumental for his movie.
He convinced Petula Clark to record the song in 1966..It was a big hit in the UK..
This song is one of my very favorite songs to sing...Hope you enjoy listening
