KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Cantstopsinging performs In The Cool Cool Cool Of The Evening on Karaoke Showcase - "In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening" is a popular song with music by Hoagy Carmichael and lyrics by Johnny Mercer. It was originally planned to feature it in a Paramount film written for Betty Hutton that never took off, which was to be called The Mack Sennett Girl (aka Keystone Girl). The song was buried in Paramount's files until it was rediscovered and then used in the 1951 film Here Comes the Groom and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Not sure whose version I used but it's been recorded by Dean Martin, Bette Midler, Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, etc Thanks for the listen(s)

mav2100 Morning Joyce, This is a perfect song for the challenge. So many jazzy names. Woooo hooo this is NAME GAME Challenge Song Number 154!! This party is so much fun. I do hope that Jake doesn't ruin it by gorging himself, you know how he is! LOL! I sure do love this one. I do love when you get your jazz on. Everybody is up and dancing on the Tiki Dance Floor. You are shaking this place up!! When you're done singing come on over to the bar for your complimentary custom cocktail. I am sure it will be something completely retro like a Pink Lady or a Mint Julep! LOL! I could hear how much ya love those grizzly bears on that line too. So cute! You sound fabulous. I love the rare occasions when you lock the Social-lites in the cupboard and sing one alone. They are so special. This is great! Love it!! Thank you for adding another to the Party! Applause from Chicago!! Mwahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Pam
Reply: Hey Pam.. Thx for the complimentary cocktail offer but with the extraordinary heat, I am laying off the stuff! Mint Julep does sound intoxicating in more ways than one though. I can't let the Social-lites see about being locked in the cupboard though for me to sing solo.. The little divas may rush over to your place riding a grizzly bear and knock your windows out and raid your cupboards!! Thanks so very much!!
