KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Starlyter - Brad performs This Masquerade on Karaoke Showcase - I had the distinct pleasure of convincing Pam (Mav2100) to give me her 2007 release of The Carpenter's version of this song. Keep in mind, I couldn't find a single version of this song that was recorded as a duet (except a medley by Karen Carpenter and Ella Fitzgerald and that was not the entire song, just part of group of songs they did during one performance.) So this project took on a special kind of challenge. With a lot of trial and error, I was able to produce a duet with Pam's original 2007 cover recording and my 2022 additions. A few injected lines from yours truly, some added harmony and post miracle work and voila, this joint effort worked out pretty good IMO. You got to remember, I had some terrific original source material to work with on this one. Our duet is unique since there was no previous cover for a duet. Many thanks to my singing partner Pam for her terrific contributions to this duet, which was not only separated by hundreds of miles but 15 years also.

Jerry I sorry...Pam WHO? A Chicago type use to be on this site but she vanished...her neighbors reported to the investigating police that some strange, flying, disc shaped object landed in her yard and she was seen fighting with a three armed 'live' something that carried her away into that object and off it went. It was no masquerade gag! Your duet recording is top shelf and wonderfully enjoyed. beep, oink, whistle....
Reply: Been trying to twist her arm to make a cameo appearance but her agent is a real tough one. Time will tell. Thanks for the great comment...Pam and Brad
