Some time there are songs I cannot sing so i just wing it. Thinking about Chasing cars...When I was a boy my dog use to chase cars. I tried to get him to stop, but he was hard headed and loved chasing cars!! One day the car won & I lost my buddy. Gary Lightbody wrote the song, and The phrase 'Chasing Cars' came from Gary's father, referring to a girl Gary was infatuated with: "You're like a dog chasing a car. You'll never catch it and you just wouldn't know what to do with it if you did. unlike my dog chasing cars, I did how ever chase after the girls, and even though I had many break my heart, in the end I won :) |

Been awhile since I last heard this. So you used a vocoder on your vocals? I know you have the vocal sensitivity to sound great on this do I am wondering why you added the vocoder? Joyce |

I had girls chasing me all the time, but they NEVER, not once got a clean shot off due to my ducking and weaving abilities. Oh sure, I paid some stalking fines, but I was guilty. LOL This is NOT a song you CANNOT sing...this is a song you DO sing superbly and mixed it the same way. I really like this one...it's been a long time since I've enjoyed this song from anyone other than the way you sing it in this recording! Excellent! |

I think when I was 7 or so, we had a little pooch called Skippy that wasn't much bigger than 6 or 7 pounds. He too liked the adventure of chasing cars and not unlike your little buddy, lost and laid down for one last time by our back door. Never forgot that little guy from seven decades ago. // Your performance sounds great my friend. A terrific listen this morning...Brad |
