I decided to re-record this tune because I was asked to allow it on a "Play For Change" album that will be donating all proceeds to a fund for building Music Schools in Kenya. I thought I would post it up here to get some feedback before I send it off to PFC. It was nominated at the 38th Grammy Awards for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and although the song was never formally released as a single in the US, and thus was not eligible to appear on the US Billboard Hot 100 under the rules then in place, it spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in early 1995 "Love Will Keep Us Alive" from the LP "Hell Freezes Over" is in my pinion one of "Eagles" finest recordings. I hope you like it. |
