There is an interesting story behind this song. Johnny Rivers was a frequent guest at Graceland and an Elvis friend. On one of those visits Elvis sang this song and told Rivers that he was going to record it for his next album. Well, Rivers loved the song and rushed to the studio, recorded and released it...stealing it from Elvis. From there Elvis barred Rivers from Graceland and never spoke to him again. |
