In the 60s I heard her sing for the first time on an Andy Williams special..she was married to him during this time...I was mesmerized by her voice...sweet...soft... romantic... French....never forgot her...so in my search...I found the song...Am I Blue..

Hi Abby.. This was sweeter than sweet from you and I heard a little bit of Billie Holiday in your vocal. Your voice had a flapper girl ( from the 1920's) vibe to it.. Nice! |

Hi Abby....George Strait has a song, that I love, with the same name as this E. Walters' song...they start off kind of alike then move on. This is a most lovely song, sang here by a most lovely and talented singing lady.

First, great song choice for the Baby Challenge and coming in at #20 and #4 for you. Funny you should mention Claudine Longet. I remember as a 18 year old listening on real-to-reel with my buddies. She was hot back then with those sensuous, inviting French-accented whispery songs. Anyway, back to your song. You did a fabulous sing on this old (1929 huh?) classic. Really enjoyed my listen Gail.
