This Newfoundland folk song tells about the antics of the deceased man's friends at an Irish Wake, Originally recorded by the Flanagan Brothers in 1930, and several other covers throughout the years. This is the Johnny Brady version who sings many Irish country songs.
With St Patrick's Day coming right up, I felt this was a fitting number to record Saturday night at the Tiki, while drinking some Bailey's (actually a lot of Baileys followed by some Guinness) ! I would have posted this yesterday, but I am just now waking up!
A really fun song to sing.... and have a few drinks along the way. Happy St Patrick's Day! |
