KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - mav2100 performs Moonglow W Don Janson on Karaoke Showcase - Earlier this week it was announced on the news that Tony Bennett was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2016. For four years, this legendary singer and his family have kept his secret. Now they are breaking their silence. I am saddened by the news. I am sure that most of you who know me know I have very few memories of my father who died days before my ninth birthday. He was a jazz drummer and singer. The one thing I do remember is him singing Tony Bennett songs. I assume he was practicing . To my little ears, he sounded exactly like Tony Bennett. I could be wrong. I have no recorded proof nor, anyone who can substantiate this fact. It’s one positive thing I remember from my youth and I choose to believe it was true. Apparently there will be a new Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga Duet Album released this spring. It has been said it will be his last. May God Bless Mr. Anthony Dominick Benedetto and may he and his family continue to thrive in spite of this awful disease. This is one from the archives. A duet I sang with Don Janson. It's one of my favorites. Thank you all for listening, Love yas, Mwahhhhhhhhhh, Pam

rendition Hi PAM: It's Pete come lately here. I had only time for one listen and this is it. Saw Don's name and could not miss hearing this. Now your Dad was Drummer/singer? Hey! That's me too. As far as Tony B goes , he is tops of the ballad singers. Don and you are "wizards of music" you know. This is another PAMDON-classic in my books. Take care! Hope I can find some time to hear more of the troop here. Pete Rendition
Reply: You can't be my daddy, Pete! You're too young!! Thank you so much for coming by. You are the best!!! Hope you have some free time this weekend to relax and record something. I haven't seen a Pete Sub in a while. I really do appreciate you so much and I am sure Don does too. Never Change!! Cheers!! Don & Pam

Tex This is exceptional. Really enjoyed my listen. It’s amazing to me that TB has been able to perform all these years. A very special talent.
Reply: I agree Tony Bennett has had an amazingly long career. I am so glad new albums were produced with younger performers to rekindle his magic with younger generations. Thank you for stopping by Phil. Thank you too for your wonderful comment. You are the best! I sure do appreciate it very much. Mwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Pam

DonnWeinberg Hey, Pam. I was touched by you relating that story about your dad. It's truly sad that TB has Alzheimer's disease. My wife had it and passed away at 67 last March. It's especially horrible when it hits a relatively young and vital person. Anyway, your archived performance with DJ is great. -- Donn
Reply: It is an awful disease. You are an angel. God Bless you. Thank you for coming by. Thank you for your touching comment. Don was my best friend and we did many songs together. All long distance as he lived outside of London. Alas, he passed away in August of 2019. I thank God for his and our music collaborations. They are comforting. You are very kind and generous. Thank you especially for sharing your story with us. I am so glad you are back. I appreciate you very much. Mwahhhhhhhhhhhh, Pam
