KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Cantstopsinging performs Time Wont Let Me on Karaoke Showcase - Here's a lively song, to which I had as a 45 as a child. I was happy to find a backtrack with no backup vocals to make the next door tenant's ear buds pop off. "Time Won't Let Me" is a garage rock song that was recorded by the Outsiders, from Cleveland, Ohio, in September 1965, and which became a major hit in the United States in 1966, reaching #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 on the week of April 16 of that year. It is ranked as the 42nd biggest American hit of 1966. In Canada, the song also reached #5 in the weekly charts. Lead vocals were provided by Sonny Geraci, who also sang lead on the 1972 hit, "Precious and Few" by his later band, Climax. Thanks from me and the Social-Lites if you care to listen.

mav2100 This is so weird. I Swear I commented on this. I remember mentioning the cool effects on your lead vocals. I am so sorry now I am very, very late now. This is a fabulously uplifting song. Such energy. Oh yeah I remember the "Owwwwwwwwwww" that is so adorable. You sound wonderful and those Social-lites are hoppin all over the place. They had too much caffeine that day! This is more of a hoolie song, I think. Hyper is definitely their M.O. LOL! I Love it!!! Great song!! I can hear you smiling all the way through. Excellent sing!! Mwahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Pam
Reply: Hi Pam.. This is the track from Karaoke Version and yes it's a lively one. Agreed, it is more Hoolie-gan and you've given me the idea now to use 2 different back up 'groups' one of the rockers and the other for the softer songs. Thanks for checking this out!!
