Mainly, I wanted to sing the backups..other reason to taunt my next door neighbor who doesn't want me to sing. Singing the refrain is a challenge because one has to just go for it without apprehension and knowing she is getting annoyed sticks in my subconscious and this is where my head and chest voice meet. I recorded this on Christmas. So far she hasn't complained again. Aretha songs can be a stretch for my untrained voice but I am posting it because I put enough effort into it. Written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin..1967.. Major hit for Aretha.
