Description: |
Perhaps not a Christmas song...but it is a seasonal song that reminds me of this time of year. For years, Christmas meant snow skiing---so off to Vail, Beaver Creek or Taos and the trail runs I'd go. I'm a fan of this song and it does seem to fit to me. A Christmas in the mountains is so much fun. Written by pianist Eddie Heywood and lyrics by Norman Gimbel, and a instrumental version by Heywood and Hugo Winterhalter reached No. 2 on Billboard and No. 7 on the R&B chart in 1956. Andy Williams' version reached No. 7 that same year. |
