With skateboarding becoming popular, Jan Berry (of Jan & Dean) and Brian Wilson (of the Beach Boys) used the music from a 1963 Beach Boy Song "Catch A Wave" to create Sidewalk Surfin which peaked at #25 on Oct 31 1964. (56 years ago!)
As kid back then I skateboarded a lot and always really liked this song!
So getting back from that incredible "Get Out Of Here" road trip, I'm grabbing a couple left over tacos and my last bottle of Jamaican Rum and hitting the sidewalks! |
