We are having a Party here at Singer’s Showcase. This is a Challenge inspired by the Covid19 Lock-down, I have called it the “I Gotta Get Out Of Here” Challenge. I figured since I am going a bit stir-crazy being on house arrest, I can’t be the only one. I have called on one and all to take us away from all this. The criteria for this one, is the title of a place must be in the title of the song. We are pretty open – minded. So, any place is a place so use your imaginations. We can go anywhere you choose, a city, a state, a country, a planet, the moon, the sun, Uptown, Downtown, Old town, Newtown, Up North, Down South, East Coast, West coast, be careful down there in Louisiana though, Heaven, HE Double Hockey Sticks In the garage, or out to WALMART!! The choice is yours. You just have to take us with you. So far, we have been to some incredible places. We have sampled some amazing new foods too. Take a look at the front page and see. I See a Sea of Pink Cs and I love it!! That’s so poetic isn’t it? LOL!
This party has taken on a life of it’s own and I am having much too much fun. The refreshments are always topped off and we are never lacking things to drink here. The food has been amazing. We have had something from everywhere including Tacos, Fried Chicken, Bar-B-Cued Ribs, Sushi, Pizza, Texas Chili, Jerk Chicken, Sausage, Biscuits and Gravy, and of course Moon Pies! The buffet table is twenty feet long!! I will have to add another table at this time.
Thank you all for participating! Whether you are singing a song or supporting those who are, you are keeping this party alive and kicking! You all have a special place in my heart. It’s getting crowded in there do not step on anyone’s toes. I will turn on the AC if it gets stuffy in there. Stuffy Heart?! What a concept!! LOL!
I have thought much about this song as it’s one of my favorite duets with my Sweet departed Friend, Don. I had so much fun doing this one. It was much easier for me than him as my parts were mostly all straight forward, his were much harder. Poor Guy I so tortured him sometimes with my song suggestions. The destination here is CHINA! After you hear it you may feel full, but feel hungry again in an hour. We will be adding a full Chinese food table, everyone loves Chinese food once in a while. So, jump on the boat and come on our cruise with me. This is song number thirty-five of the “I Gotta Gett Out Of Here” Challenge. Woooo hoooo!!!!
