Hank was a good friend of mine as were a few other great country artists. Hank took this young guy under his 'wing' so to speak. He gave me one of his prized hats as I was leaving his home after watching a Super Bowl. It's in my closet protected for storage. It was his Charlie One Horse show hat, handmade for him, that cost him about $1,200 back in the 1960's. He gave it to me in the 1980's, and I miss him today. This is posted in his memory. |
