For years, I was in a weekly country show in Dallas. Once a month we'd do an Oldie show. One time we went way back and this was one of the songs the producer asked me to perform. And, I dreaded it---I got the lyrics confused and some forgotten very time I rehearsed it. So, this song came up,and I walked on stage. For the life of me, I could not get the lyrics straight...I laughed and so did the audience. In the audience, two Nashville music producers were introduced before the show started. They were looking for talent. You see both Leann Rimes and Steve Holy (and, BoxCar Willie) were 'discovered' on the show years earlier...and, so, you know how it ended for me! I've hated this song since....Haha |
