You learned something...now try to erase that image from your mind! 10cc..after some false starts said:"Let's not use instruments. Let's try to do it all with voices and create "a wall of sound" of vocals that would form the focal point of the record. They spent three weeks recording "ahhh" 16 times for each note of the chromatic scale, building up a "choir" of 48 voices for each note of the scale. I'll tell you what..I was totally gonna scrap our project after finding a vocal-less backing track but Joyce spent A LOT of time doing it a bit differently and I love what she came up with..and she even did the "big-boys don't cry" voice!
