The first time I heard this song was here on Singer's Showcase, sung by our beloved Lenny, May he rest In Peace. If you remember Lenny please mention Pennies 4 Lenny or P4L in your comment. Thank you, Lenny. Two weeks ago I heard it again performed beautifully by our own Sweet AbbyGail. Which reminded me that I have always wanted to record this one. Thank you Abby! Lo and behold I had a folder with the backing track ready to go ever since Lenny did it. LOL!! Talk about procrastination! Then Michel Subbed In The Still of the Night, which reminded me I was going to sub this. Thank you Michel! Do you see how many people are involved in a Pam Sub. It's a wonder I get anything subbed at all!! Released in July 1985 by Ronnie MIlsap, It is a medley of "Lost in the Fifties Tonight" written by Mike Reid and Troy Seals and a cover of The Five Satins' 1956 hit "In the Still of the Night". I remember Lenny well...we often communicated. It hurt to see him in that wheelchair...but he kept singing right up to his new beginning. I love this RM song...If one is going to be lost in music, the '50s is a great place to hang out. I love your warm and tender rendition girl...it's you're top shelf recording...Fabulous sing. What saxophonist? Where? lol |

I remember Lenny. I even got to meet him once at a Karaoke Fling in Orlando Florida. He was a very nice man. P4L. You did a beautiful job here Pam. Loved my listen this morning. :) |
