"Monday, Monday" is a 1966 song and 1967 grammy winner written by John Phillips. It was the group's only #1 hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Phillips wrote the song quickly(20 minutes). The song includes a false ending, with a pause before the coda of the song, modulating up a half note for the bridges and refrains of the song. (I hope u guys are paying attention here..there will be a quiz) Joyce actually met Michelle Phillips who told her that this song was very hard for them to record.
