KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Lord Burnstrum performs Harold, the Helicopter on Karaoke Showcase - This song was written by Mike O'Donnell and Junior Campbell for "Thomas The Tank Engine And Friends", a hugely popular animated television series based on Rev. W. Awdry's "The Railway Series" books originally written for his son Christopher, who would later write many more volumes for the series. I recorded my rendition on the 21st May 2020 and was planning on uploading it in early July to tie in with Christopher Awdry's 80th birthday. However, the news came on the 30th May of the death of Michael Angelis, longtime narrator of the UK version of the show. Although I am of the generation that appreciated the earlier series' that featured Ringo Starr, I share my recording of this song at this time to honour Michael's tremendous contribution to the franchise, since he was to more than one generation the definitive voice of Thomas.

mav2100 Heyyyyy here we go again... Are you really a lord?? LOL!! Thsi sounds a lot Pompy and Circumstancy!! So regal!! This is a wonderful trbute to Michael Angelis. You are a very special & sentimental guy. Not to worry it's our little secret. This is fabulous, LB! I am loving it tonight. Nice to see you on the board. Hope you and yours are all keeping safe and staying healthy. GREAT Dedication, and sing!! Mwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Pam
Reply: Thank you very much for your generous comment Pam. I agree about the regal and pomp feel to it. I included as an introduction Harold's original theme tune from the early series when all the music from the show was performed on the Roland Jupiter 6. I imagine this is the sort of music we'd have had if Sir Edward Elgar was a member of Genesis!

Jerry Hey LB...great to hear this again...you've never been in better voice...and your mix is beautiful. Your vocal tone is tops! Hope all is well...now, let see, tell me again where in Texas did you get that accent? LOL...Love the UK sound!
Reply: I got the accent from Texas Homecare. Haha... thank you very much for your words of encouragement Jerry. Now you mention it, know anyone with a pleasing Texan baritone who can sing this song?
