She passed away (pancreatic cancer) in March 2018. This song was new to me..so..I looked it up... Leonard Cohen’s career had reached a low point when he wrote “Hallelujah.” When Cohen submitted the songs for his subsequent LP, label execs didn’t hear “Hallelujah,” the opening song of Side Two, as anything special but,The song created a huge cult following, and it’s since been covered by everybody from Bono to Bon Jovi. It’s far and away Leonard Cohen’s most famous composition. Such a sad occasion to record a song. You are portraying such passion and sincerity, all while maintaining so much control. Absolutely Beautiful, Chet.One of your Bests. I am loving it tonight.
