KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Cantstopsinging performs A Different Drum on Karaoke Showcase - Here you go, Bobarino.. Thank you for your listens. This song was written by Mike Nesmith of the Monkees and first recorded by Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Poneys in late 1967. I remember hearing it on the radio as a child back then and it stuck with me.. Probably one of the few songs whose lyrics I know by heart.

OoRIKoO Such a great song and you just nailed it to the wall girl. Isn't it great fun to record a song that has been with you since forever? You can glide through it with confidence and have so much fun without worry. I always loved this style of 60's writing, it always reminds me of the Turtles and The Lovin Spoonful. No matter what your going through if you hear one you will instantly become "Happy". Again my friend a great sing. ... Rik.

bobarino Hi Joyce, sorry I was away. Wow, this song and you go together like peanut butter and jelly. Perfect in every way! Thank you very much for recording, just amazing. :) PS Trivia - What did Michael Nesmith's Mother invent in the early 50's? lol
Reply: Oh I am so glad to hear from you.. Now I am hungry when you mention pb and j and I don't even eat peanut butter! Glad you enjoyed this and Nesmith's mother invented white out, yes?
