I cannot believe I never heard this song until my daughter sang it to my grandson two years ago. It was released on Billy Joels River of Dreams album in 1993, inspired by his daughter Alexa Ray Joel. I have always known that I hibernated through the 80s, but now I see I must have slept right throught the early part of the 90s as well. This is a beautiful lullaby and after hearing it I knew I had to record it one day. After losing my best friend in August and having a bout of a nasty cough with chest congestion, I decided it is now or never. My first recording in at least two years with new recording software that I am still trying to suss out. Eeeeeeeeeeeek! I think the vocals may be too loud. I am remixing as I edit this description.
