KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - OoRIKoO performs The Chain on Karaoke Showcase - I know I am a bit out of my box here but since I have retired from the stage I feel I can now sing whatever the "bleep" I want and I wanted to sing this song. ;-)"The Chain" is a song by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on their critically acclaimed, best-selling album Rumours. It is the only song from the album credited to all five members (Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood). The song was created from combinations of several previously rejected materials, including solo work by Buckingham, Nicks and Christine McVie. It was assembled, often manually by splicing tapes with a razor blade, at the Record Plant in Sausalito, California, with hired engineers Ken Caillat and Richard Dashut.

Gofer Rik, you never cease to amaze me!! This is such a professional sounding song, that I almost felt like I was in a concert hall, listening to a band on stage! I've been reading your replies to the others. Seems I knew that you did sing professionally, but I didn't realize the depth of how pro you had been, before retiring... or however things turned out. I do know that the music industry is as fickle as can be. You can tell, by who's currently "popular" and who's just making it by traveling the nation doing county fairs, maybe putting out a new song once in a while, but not hitting the top charts anymore. Amazing how each genre changes, with each generation. Country is now more rock and roll than country, with only a few actually trying to keep honest country flair to their music... but they're not in the top ten either. Ah well... life goes on, so they tell me. I reallllly enjoyed this, my friend! Can't say it enough.
Reply: Gofer my friend thanks so much for this awesome comment. Yes I actually made a living singing. I was a very lucky man and I thank God for that. Thanks again Gofer.

Jerry You don't have to apologize, it's your life and your business....An excellent, professional production....ready for sale on iTunes.
Reply: Jerry thanks for your great comment I do appreciate it. It reminded me of how a life's dream can began to hang heavy on the shoulders. What had started out as fun in a motor home turned into a serious business that was being watched closely by those who had an investment (mngmnt, agents, sponsors, etc) We were working w/out a new contract. So I gave notice and then signed with Circus Entertainment. The dream I felt I had fulfilled and the fun was back.I made it thru life as a singer. "WINNER"

covertunes I feel you man...let's all sing whatever the "bleep" we want to here. I'm with you 100% man. Great job on another awesome production by you my friend. I can't say enough about your music!!
Reply: Hey CT, ain't it the truth though? I spent 4 5ths of my life on the musical road to starvation and until I quit rock and went to Jazz (ahh Jazz I love it so much) I for the most part was a put yer nickle in me jukebox. Well nobody is paying me now so I'm gonna slip into something comfy and have at it. LOL Thanks so much for your awesome support my friend. I really do appreciate it.

Cantstopsinging I am truly glad you chose this one.. Interesting background info on it..Your vocals rocked out perfectly..They were in tandem with the heavy backtrack... Were you singing backups too? Extremely impressive.. Hope you let loose some more
Reply: Thanks Joyce I appreciate it. Did about 80% of the vox on this all but the female's obviously. I'm going to pull this track after I finish this reply. I uploaded the wrong one. There shouldn't be any reverb on this and the mids are gone. This was what I call a parts track . One that I use to pull sequences from so I don't have to fatten things I want skinny. I loaded it right from my FX7 plug-in and must have clicked the wrong track. I'm getting to old for these all night one man studio parties.
