Connie: This was just SO cool to listen to, Chris. It's been ages since I've heard the original. You did it great justice!
Reply: Hi Connie! Delighted that I could revive it for you, and grateful for your sweet comments. I find all your songs simply enchanting as well! |

Connie: Hi Mark, I enjoyed this SO much! I like the way the range of Journey's songs fit your voice so well, making your renditions SO good to listen to. Really great job! Enjoy the weekend, though it looks like it's going to be a cool one because of that tornado in Oklahoma.

Connie: I don't think I've heard this song before, Chris, but I'm not familiar with many recent songs. I enjoyed your introduction!
Reply: Hey Connie! That's ok, many people aren't. This is something I thought I'd take a shot at. To be quite honest, one of the most difficult I've ever done. Next one is already in the works and totally different...I do appreciate it, and look forward to hearing more from you. |
OHIO TOM |
Connie: Lovely job, Tom. You delivered this with lots of feeling. :)
Reply: Thanks Connie, It will be good to see the shore start getting back to some form of normalcy.... but still years to go... |

Connie: Oh, this was so good, John! You have a knack of delivering songs in their original style. Great rendition!!
Reply: Wow! Thank you so much for noticing that! I strive for that on every song. The way I see it, they are pros and I have no right to sing it in my own style. I write songs and those are in my style! John |

Connie: This was very fun to listen to. I remember the song well and you did a great job with it, especially with the speedy lyrics. :)
Reply: Thanks Connie. It's a fun song to do at karaoke night too. I remember once when the pub started chanting "na na na" (as per "Land of a thousand dances") during the drum solo. |
Suzanne Lanoue |
Connie: Hi Suzanne, This is the first time I've heard this song and I liked it instantly. It's very alternative rock sounding which I'm a fan of. I liked how you sounded on this plus the mix. The song is very different from your usual song styles and a nice change-up. I heard Joyce, too, and she did a great job also. The song is sad; I've also heard of redheads getting beat up in schools around here, not sure if it's national, but anyone with red hair and freckles, gets the crap beaten out of them in schools here. It's crazy.
Reply: Thanks a lot, Connie. That is so strange... |

Connie: Another great song choice, Chris. I remember it! You did such a beautiful job on it, a real pleasure to listen to.:)
Reply: Connie!! Always so sweet! Thanks so much for your review and for the comment. Glad to see you back! |

Connie: Hi John, Was it a contest when you sang it at the fair? :) I was in contest at a county fair in Ohio, a couple times. It's very fun singing to a big crowd outside. :) This still remains one of my favorite alternative rock songs of the 90's and it was great hearing your cover. Well done!
Reply: No, I have never been in a contest. I got one of my favorite compliments that day though! A man said "you didn't waste the money your mom gave you for singing lessons!" |
