Steven John: Well well well..I haven't heard that guy in forever! :-) O-M-G!...PAM!!!! and so many other names I remember back in the good ole days, it so nice to hear this again and your improved mixing skills are super-cali-fragilisticlly killer girl! I can't believe it's been that long...seems like just yesterday we were whipping up our next Metal Monday tune...those were the great days of SS! I read some of the very nice comments from the folks and YES still rockin with my band(s)...(however it's more of a digital recording via international musicians & performances lately due to the fake plandemic...ooops did i say that outloud lol)Maybe since I still have the login for this site...I'll put out something brand new for old time sake lol...Luv ya and miss you and Andygurl sends her luv too! SJ

Steven John: Lenny!now which version is you and I...first or second :-)(kidding of course) One of my all time favorite duets and duet partners. A little birdie told me your heading to our neck of the woods for Christmas. When exactly are you going to be here? I'm sure you'll be hitting the local NY karaoke bars with your family while visiting. Lenny from Andy and myself wishing you heart felt holiday greetings for you and yours and a super fantastic New Year!~SJ
Reply: LOL Steven , yes I ll be doing my daughters show on Long Island next thursday 9-12 on Merrick at a place called called Raging Bull, hopedfully I can get a couple of duets with her, thanks again for your Great talents on this song and Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you and Andy..your pal ..lenny |
Suzanne Lanoue |
Steven John: Hi Suzanne...I've never heard this "Carpenters" arrangement before, but you can clearly hear the influence and carpenter nuances. I've haven't been here in some time myself and its nice to hear so familiar voices...I enjoyed listening. Hope you feel better and wishing you and yours the very best for the holidays and New Year!
Reply: Thanks a lot, Steven! Karen's version sounds more "Californian" on her Latin pronunciation than mine. I'm from California but did many choir songs in Latin so I sang the Latin more like you're supposed to than the way she did it. |

Steven John: WOW...now this was just plain cool :-) I really like the unique "unplugged" approach to this Eagles classic. I think the current tempo your using gives the song a "darker" resonance and contemporary feel. LOVE the vocal "scat" instead of an acoustic solo (or any solo)..you stayed true to the solo arrangement vocally which put a smile on my face for sure. My only suggestion would be to NOT do the OOOOOOh's in the intro, I think if you leave them out(just during the intro) they will have more of an effect during the chorus...of course just my opinion...but really enjoyed the piece girl!
Reply: Hi, thank you so much for the kind words and detailed, helpful critique. I think you're right about the add libs at the start, I will try dropping those . Thanks :) |
Benny G |
Steven John: Benny Da V :-) Now if your not a sound for sore ears!LOL or a sight for sore eyes for that matter. It just wouldn't be the holidays without hearing something from you my friend. I absolutely love this arrangement Benny, you just sailed through this difficult song effortlessly as I knew you would. I can't tell you how much of a pleasure it was to listen to you this evening. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year buddy!

Steven John: Hey Dee, as always I'm sorry for your troubles and hope by now everything is ok. You really worked it on this one, you blended with the ladies perfectly!
