In '97, after many attempts to start a band, I discovered one, that wouldn't die or fall in love & quit... It's name: 'Karaoke.' Moreover, this thing could be a vessel to allow others to feel the thrill of live performance, who might never have done so otherwise; a self esteem booster; a source of fun; singing 'therapy.' A KJ shouldn't just push buttons - we should be - therapists, counselors, comedians, musicians, sound engineers, keeping an open mind & heart for our 'guests/friends.' |
