So the casinos here in Reno just reopened last Thursday.

Went into one of the local casinos and signs are up all over the floor that they are ultra concerned about our health . . . at least I think that's what the signs said.

Very hard to read through the thick fog of cigarette smoke.

Note to Smokers . . . If you try to preach to me how social distance and quarantine is absolutely necessary to protect the health of others, I will laugh right in your damn hypocritical face.

Corona has a very long way to go to even be in the same league as smoking.

Cigarette smoking is the leading preventable cause of death in the United States. Cigarette smoking causes more than 480,000 deaths each year in the United States. This is nearly one in five deaths.

And before anyone says "But they are only hurting themselves" . . . 41000 deaths a year attributable to 2nd hand smoke.

One way to tell if the Covid numbers are BS or real is to get the death numbers. If heart attacks, cancer, and emphysema deaths suddenly drop this year from their normal year averages, you can bet your (@$%&#!) that covid is being way overblown.

:!: All that proves to me is that humans engage in reckless dangerous activities all the time. It is one thing to risk your life, it is quite a different story when your actions endanger others who didn't sign on for the risk. This disregard for the lives of others is laid out legally, people and companies can be held responsible financially. Oh if you really want to know what most of our leaders in Congress think about all this, they for the most part are all wearing masks, especially in the Senate.

Ummm, yep, numbers are exaggerated.

From their own websites here in Utah. (Salt Lake County Health Department).
Deaths from Influenza (N1H1) in the 2017/2018 season were reported at 82.
Deaths in 2018/2019 were reported at 42. Mind you this is "just" Salt Lake County, not the entire state.
Deaths so far reported for the 2019/2020 season (which is now over) NO reported deaths. Reported deaths in Salt Lake County District (basically the same as the county) for Covid19 sits at 83. It's a MIRACLE!!! Covid19 cures influenza N1H1!!! (I am being sarcastic of course). But in fact, there have been NO reported incidents of N1H1 in the Salt Lake County since,,, yep, you guessed it... January. Hmmm,,, coincidence?? Maybe,, but don't you find it odd that the number of flu cases and pneumonia cases has plummeted, or outright disappeared? Top that off with the websites of these government agencies don't even remain consistent. One day, it will report that there was 18 recovered in one area, yet the very next day, the same report will say there was only 15.... can't they get together and get their info straight at all??? Yes, it happens, so don't even question whether that is true or not, because I watch their sites like a hawk.

And just yesterday, there was a man who supposedly passed away from the virus,,,, who was 97 years old.... Really??? Covid?? you mean he was going to live forever??? I am willing to bet dollars to donuts that every state is over reporting so they can get more federal money. If they can tie covid at all to someone who dies, they will do it. I am not saying that the virus isn't an issue, because it certainly is serious,,,, I think it's just not as deadly as they are saying it is. Remember that the vast majority of people who get sick don't even have to go to the hospital at all. And for those of you on here believing that it's the end of the world and that being infected is a death sentence (because it most certainly is not),, go hide in your bedrooms under your blankets and keep your doors locked. Hope you have enough ramen noodles to eat for the next 2 years while waiting for an unproven vaccine.

Thats all I have to say. Keep on beating that dead horse ya'll.

You have proven once again, from your comments above, that you look at this virus as nothing more than a novelty instead of the devastating disease it truly is.

Why would anyone blindly trust ANYTHING put out by WHO, CDC, Media, Academia, and Government of any type when they are all basically wholly owned subsidiaries whose allegiance is only to the bottom line of the global corporations owned by the ultra rich?

Think about it . . . If you owned or controlled every big media news outlet, the majority of the governments and the "Scientific" community by holding their funding hostage, you can create, control, and most of all PROFIT off anything you want.

Say you are a scientist. You discover something truly troubling that needs further testing but may step on your owners' toes by questioning or contradicting their finely honed narrative. What are your Choices?
Choice 1) Forget about it and continue living your comfortable life albeit without your soul.
Choice 2) Speak up saying "This needs further study"

If you choose Choice 2 - you will be defunded, publicly ridiculed, vilified, black balled from the scientific community and, if your discovery has the potential to significantly interfere with their profits . . . physically disappeared.

Maybe the "virus" is natural
Maybe it is man made
Maybe it doesn't exist at all.

We have no way of knowing when ZERO questions are allowed to be asked.

Oh the questions are being asked. It's the answers that are elusive.

But I agree with you. Follow the money.

Join Antifa and take what you want with ZERO fear. Antifa has now taken over seven blocks in King county Washington. The police have abandoned the precinct, and Antifa has claimed the area.

I guess Antifa isn't afraid of anything including Covid19. Wasn't King county the starting place where all the people died in the nursing home? I guess those masks Antifa wear really does keep them safe. I always thought they didn't want us to see their faces......huh

First of all, I don't care about my favorability rating. I'm not here to win a popularity contest. I'm here to state my unbiased opinion.

So, here's the way I see it...

I feel it is way to early for bars to bring back entertainment. Things like bands and karaoke are used to draw in a crowd. And that's the last thing you want to be doing right now. But then again, none of that really matters since this virus is going to kill us all. Why? Because there is no unity in fighting this.

At the very start, there should have been a national lockdown. The piecemeal approach doesn't work. You can't have some states on a lockdown while others are not. The country needed to be unified, but it wasn't.

Then, you have states that are reopening even though they are seeing new cases every day that are spiraling out of control. And more people dying.

And then you have places that HAVE reopened such as the bars in Arizona that are taking no precautions at all. They are not following any guidelines, operating at a reduced capacity, or enforcing social distancing.

Therefore, how do you think that this is ever going to end? It's not. And the reason for that is because "man" is the stupidest specie on the planet. And so, this is the plague that will destroy life on earth. The funny thing is that it didn't have to be. But nobody really cared about the severity of this from the president on down. Now, we all pay the price.

:!: One interesting note on the unity thing. We can see in the last few weeks that the wearing or not wearing of masks is sending a political message. When 95% of the public start wearing masks in public, it is said we could be rid of the virus in 14 days, since it will have no place to live. Just like the song about "The Bo Weevil" it's just looking for a home.

...and by the same token, if every state had a stay at home order, we're people were not allowed to leave their homes except for grocery shopping (and must be wearing masks when doing so), the virus would also be gone in 14 days.

:!: Mr.Scott tonight is Friday, we didn't get a weekly update about the progress of your current gig, is it still on for tonight? If so are numbers getting any better, or are they holding the same. I understand if you don't want to comment, just be careful, and know others are thinking about you and the safety of those who attend, GOOD LUCK :biggrinthumb: :biggrinthumb: :biggrinthumb:

LR, personally, I could care less about getting updates from Mr. Scott. He is a fool. He's hosting karaoke at a bar that is not taking any precautions along with customers who don't give a sh*t about following the rules. And he himself is not doing everything possible to make it safer, like using mic covers.

He is part of the problem and the reason why the virus will only continue to spread.

:!: It would seem that the super spreader activities are starting to recede in the North East, and Midwest of the country. They are picking up, however, in the South and Western parts of this country. Today Arizona is using 83% of it's ICU capacity, and in several states like Texas and Tennessee, the highest daily infection rates have been hit. This is all in the Summer when the virus is supposed to be less active. Come this Fall will see the second spike of the first wave without a break at least in some states.

I just want to know how many bottle cap cuts, beach limbo back strains, slurpee brain freezes, and skateboard crashes are being counted as Covid cases.

The Financial Times has been reporting on the excess all-cause mortality of different countries compared to the recent historical average.

In the United States as of May 9 this number was 100,000. For reference, the total number of reported COVID-19 deaths in the United States on May 9 was just under 75,000. Based on this data it seems unlikely that COVID-19 deaths in the United States are being over-reported.

it actually appears that the numbers of real deaths be Covid are higher than reported. many hospitals are erring on the side of not reporting a false positive.
