I don't know why I just thought of this, but I did. About 10 years ago or so, I was out singing and wanted to do "Cowboy" by Kid Rock. The KJ said he had a different version from the original/traditional and wanted to do if I wouldn't mind it. I said sure and he played it. It was so F'N cool! I asked him if it was his version and he said no, he found it on a karaoke music site he uses.

Every other place I've ever sang thought I was crazy. I know it's out there, so I'm asking if anyone knows what I'm talking about and if they can direct me to it. Either by the internet or by the song number. I wish I could give you more info, but that's about it. If this is too vague, I get it. I know it's a reach, but wanted to check to see anyway.

I would try to find out if that KJ was still in business and ask him. There are at least 10 different versions of the song out there so it's hard for anyone else to determine which one you are referring to. Sorry.

Believe me, I would LOVE to find that KJ. But I was on in a different part of the country at that time and I have no clue who was the KJ. Bummer.
