I like to read the Tech. dicussion a lot to learn new things. I find the Tech guys
have to answer the same questions on what people should by for new
equipment constantly. It would be great if there was a section that covered this
to refer people to. I have used the search option before and it is so vague I can never find what I need without basically searching hundreds of old posts.

I'm not talking about adding another forum, but a basic info. area about the top
equipment suggested - mixers, processors, amps etc.. and maybe how to stuff like
burning cds, hook up etc...

I realize this is a lot of work to add - just a suggestion.  :D

Has been tried before (Lonman was one of the big supporters) , but
1: People don't read
2: People don't know how to read
3: People are to lazy to read
4: People do not use the search engine
5: People don't know how use the search engine
6: People are to lazy to use the search engine

This by no means reflects on you Babs, but mainly on people who join the forum and the first question is "How do I copy a CDG" or something to that extent.

We don't have to, but for those who answer the same question over and over, good luck to them. I don't have the time to waste in telling Mr/Mrs/Mrs Newbie how to copy a disk or which mixer is the best. My taste differs from that of my respected friends here, and we do not always agree, but I will not go into a p*****g contest every time someone new askes the same question that has been answered 10E6 times before.

I made, basically, the same suggestion a while back which also included a forum for equipment etc.. reviews. I never received a response so, I guess it's not going to happen. If there were a review forum, that would at least provide a single specific area to get some info on equipment used by KS members. I left a review of a particular player in the tech forum, but its has long been buried by other non review type posts.
