In recent weeks, the server has been very slow to respond to logons, menu selections and display of various screens. During these times, I have checked the internet path for ping response and it has been good. Example: Today, Jan 22, 2024 between 7am CDT and 8am CDT, the site was averaging 40 seconds response time to any url request. During that same time, ping requests averaged 26ms. At sometime after 8am, things returned to normal and server response appears to be immediate for most functions (no delay).

Could someone check this out. It appears to be happening frequently and others on SS have noted these significant response delays on the site as well.

Sadly, many "Spammers" are pushing logons using many different names.
This tends to create a "Log Jam'.
We delete and ban as quickly as we can.

Thanks JD. I don't doubt what your saying, but the end result is that the very long extended response times (right now about 30 seconds) is killing the SS site participation. Many users are just giving up thinking the site is off line or just not working. It's becoming a daily occurence and preventing users reliable access.

I don't have the solutions but unless something changes, the user base on SS will no longer be there.
