Hi,

I am new for the Karaoke world, and I am building myself an equipment, and I would like your advice on how to get a good set of two wireless microphone set for home. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

It depend on how much you want to spent and also what the rest of your equpment are like. No use having a $600 mic if the rest of the system only cost $300. Give us more info .

Thanks Jian for your response,

Actually I am planning to put together an HTPC with a decent sound card and processor and I want to connect the wireless set directly to the computer. Intially, I wanted to use it only for Karoke at home but I will be adding more stuff to it . So I guess the question would be what would be a decent priced wireless mic set than I can use with my computer.

WOW......A wireless mic that you hook to the computer and use for karaoke.

Not sure there is such a beast, and not sure why anyone would want one.

I think you will shortly discover that ALL of your equipment needs to be moved outboard your PC including the mics...The very first thing I would want is a pro level sound card that interfaced properly with a pro level mixer....The next is a video card that offers dual display....Then I would look for deals on used pro level wireless mics, and you will see there are plenty available cheap.

Possible but very problematic. You need a small mixer as well. When buying something, buy once and once only. Buying a cheap product now, will cost you more when you have to replace it. Here's a good value for money mic.
Shure TV58D Wireless Vocal Microphone System Price @ $ 249.99

You will need a mixer, and one with efx for the vox, if you don't already have a outboard efx. You can connect your mic directly to your pc, but you will not have a good result. But if you have to do it, try those software mixer from Creative (comes with the sound card). you can add vox efx just like when you use the real mixer.

But you will need a mixer eventually.
