I'm new to this and need some advice, I have a couple of songs on my pc but when i try to upload them to the showcase it says they are to big.they are in mp3 format and about 3.27 to 4.78mb.
does anyone know how i can make them smaller so they will upload without having to rerecord them.
Any help is appreciated thanks :(

What recording program are you using?

I use Cool Edit Pro, but I'm sure all the programs work about the same.

Open it up in your program to resave it, then when your saving there should be an "options" tab. Go into options, and change to a lesser bitrate. It changes the size pretty drastically, so you dont' need to go much if your songs are 3-4 MB.

That's pretty much all I know to do. Other people may do it other ways, so if that doesn't work for ya- maybe someone else will come to help.

-OR- (god forgive me for this one)

You could TRY a "forum search", I know this has been asked before. There should be more topics on compressing songs still around. Maybe you could find a better idea on how to do this.

Good luck to you!!  :D

Musicmatch Jukebox also has an easy to use "convert" option to change the size from 128 K to 90K, 56K, etc etc..which in turn, lowers the size of the file. Sound quality is less of course was well.
