You decide....

I was looking up Just Tracks Karaoke on e-bay, and this auction happen to catch my eye:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Karaoke-Stevie- ... Ss3dPCSJRg

First off, JT sold for about $18-20 retail.
Secondly, I didn't know that Stevie Wonder tracks were in such high demand. Seeing a price of $130.86 for this disc (and only in ACCEPTABLE condition) made me do a double-take.
:fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright:
I don't care if all the proceeds are going to charity or not!
Thirdly, further down in the auction, there's a little comment:
Quote:
About Goodwill of Southern California

Our company is dedicated to providing you with the best quality, lowest cost products on eBay.

OK... I guess they're the experts when they say this disc is of the "best quality" and "lowest cost product" (NOT!!!!!)... I guess it's the "lowest cost product on eBay" (at $130.86) because nobody else is selling that particular disc on eBay. :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

Well, I couldn't resist! I sent the seller a question...
Quote:
Are you SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????????? $131 for a karaoke disc that originally retailed between $18-20 new, and yours is in ACCEPTABLE condition at best?????????????????

I'll let you know if I get a response, or if they alter their selling price.

Did karaoke.net strictly acquire Pocket Songs? I was thinking Just Tracks had some affiliation with Pocket Song.

But I could definitely be wrong...

Not all the track's, but the price and the selections look decent.

I'm not interested in getting a Stevie Wonder disc, but thanks for checking. I was just looking to see what Just Tracks discs might be out there that I would be interested in getting, and that auction just happened to catch my eye (because of the selling price).
As for the auction you posted, that's a PS CD with no graphics (otherwise, it would have said PSCDG).

And yes, Karaoke.net acquired the rights to the Pocket Songs library. Pocket Songs made Just Tracks. Since Pocket Songs were multiplex discs, consisting of 8 to 10 songs with vocals, and then a repeat of those 8 to 10 songs with main vocal removed, they (PS) came out with Just Tracks, which contained more songs per disc, and no multiplex versions.

Cueball, I see a lot of this blatant price gouging! It tees me off
That there are those who do so! I've noticed after a 2 year hiatus,
That overall prices are Up! Up! Up! Sometimes the crap is so deep,
We have to reach the higher ground! But then again isnt this is the great
Stevie Wonder... lemme see how much money I got in my pocket,
DARN IT!
Anyone know a good seamstress ?

4 days later, it doesn't look like they changed the selling price in their auction.

Does anyone really believe that the folks at Goodwill are educated enough on karaoke to price it for resale correctly?

People ask crazy prices for junk all the time on eBay. Doesn't mean its worth that, or that they will get it.
