so if you want one get the real thing not the toy.

They actually turned down the deal.

The Singtrix has been in market for about a year now. I posted about it in December of 2013 -

I don't believe it to be a threat to karaoke. It is a gimmicky item and they even focus more on the effects portion of it more than anything else. It does not play karaoke files or display lyrics. It is an effects product.

Someone bought 9 of these from Fry's several months ago. We (a couple of other KJ's and I) thought it was someone who was going to be rolling them out in bars, but we have yet to see them in public.

So that means they didn't get a deal right Chris? Not getting the deal they wanted does not mean "they actually turned down the deal". They had offers from 4 sharks, they countered and 3 minutes later the sharks all said "I'm out". Mr. Wonderful even said that they were dead to him. Ha. I love that line.

Would you have invested $1.5m for 2% for this product? Not even if I could ... "I'm out".

The singer kept lookin' at my junk.. I was mesmerized..

Just noting there is a difference between the Sharks outright denying them a deal, and the product guys turning down the offered deals. personally, I think they should have taken it because they could have used the money for additional R&D. As the product stands now it is just a gimmick and it could be quite a bit more.

Even tho the Sharks turned down their proposals, don't you think that there are countless other entrepreneurs out there watching this program and contacting those turned down with some kind of deal?

i wonder if they secretly made some kind of deal with helicon. But as it stands, I would totally buy one if I had the money. Might be fun to bring to a show once in a blue moon when I'm celebrating birthday or something..

They must be well funded these days as the booths at CES are not cheap,
and they had a ton of space.

They set up on an end isle, and had three side viewing.. I'm thinking very pricey..

Truth. When my company shows in Vegas, a 30x30 space is many tens of thousands of dollars. For three days.

Got the wife and me one for Christmas. It's actually really neat. 320 different settings. Would be tough to use professionally, but we've had a lot of home fun with it. You can tone down the effects and also remove or add auto tune.
