That isn't the expensive part. It has a Neumann KMS-105 head. Those list at $899.00 for the wired version.

Well I'm glad someone finally went out and researched this. It's been bugging me since AI got started....I must also state that I don't like the look of the mics...at all. From the chrome, right down to the transmitter on the bottom...Yuck! Add that with the price, sorry I'll take a $300 "shure" wireless over those..."any day".....MrD
