My partner and I have just been getting started with our own Karaoke business.

I've got a ton of friends in an on-line club, and I happen to have my own business class dsl connection and a webserver complete with realaudio streaming capabilities with software I set up.

Just for fun, we've been testing out the equipment and running a live stream over the internet for this group of our friends, and tonight we had a record time of 8 hours and 39 minutes of pretty much non-stop karaoke...

We started streaming at about 6:30pm and just finished shortly after 3am. Last friday night our "show" lasted a little over 7 hours...

God only knows how many songs he and I did...we had our friends in a MIRC channel and they were watching the stream and putting in requests for us to do...

it was a load of fun...but man it sure is taking it's toll on my voice...

But those were all private parties that I did for free to party with my friends. You will notice that you hardly ever get invited to parties anymore without being asked to bring your significant other (the karaoke system).

Every August I do a parking lot party for the anniversary of the club I work at. Starts at 2:00 PM & moves in at 9:00 PM & ends at 2:00 AM.
