Hi!! I don't know who will read this, but if you can help I would greatly appreaciate it. I am an American Soldier currently deployed in Iraq and I am a medic. I am in a combat hospital and we want to buy a karaoke machine for our Morale tent. However, we can not get any karaoke cd's here. If anyone would like to donate or give me some information on how to get some, it would be great. Thank you so much.

Have you tried the manufacturers soundchoice, priddis, top tunes, panorama, stellar, pocket songs, music maestro, and there are more which I'm sure others will pass on.

There are a number of distributors with banner ads on the home page of this site. They are a good source. You might also try e-bay. you can usually find some good package deals there. Good luck and thanks for all you do over there.

I have been thinking since posting my first reply. Please e-mail me at rellis96 at comcast dot net (had to do the e-mail that way as the board won't let you list it the proper way thinking you're advertising) with the name and address of your unit (and your name). I'm a member of a small Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post here in New Mexico. We have a meeting this Saturday. We can probably come up with some for you. I need you to e-mail me with that info though please as soon as you can. Please also provide some info on your unit which I can use to tell the members who it is we may be providing support to. Thanks, and again we're extremely proud of all of you over there. Keep up the good work.

For system administrator: Please do not edit out the e-mail address, I'm just trying to provide some help and support for our troops over in Iraq if I can. Thanks

I think the larger companies might be willing to make a donation of disks.
It would be great publicity for not only the companies involved, but also for the karaoke market generally.

Cort,
I have the Soldier's Base mailing "APO" mailing address Which is a Legitimate Camp addy in Iraq.. and I did check it out with some ppl at the local airforce base here.. So it's on the up and up.. I have the E-mailed letter from the soldier who is asking for the Karaoke CDG's & DVD's for this camp and will fwd it to anyone who is interested in doing this..

As I have a brother that is over there.. I totally believe this is definately worthwhile.. 8)

some of us on another site that this soldier posted on are posting what we're going to send them, so they don't get too many duplicates!

Matt,
send me that list please .. as per I have a retailer involved as per today who is thinking about donating some media to this project.. I just haven't been told how many yet.

And I forwarded her personal message to Christian @ Priddis too.
and also gave her some other groups to try.

will do!

right now, it's a Priddis 10 pack (the free one given away with players)
AHK 8020 (Bob Seger) - still in wrap
AHK 8018 (Neil Diamond)
A SGB #37
A Nutech #13 R&b
A Latin Pop A1 Smash popular latin vintage 2000
Star Disc Vol 1 (sdp001)
AND I've got a Beatles Vol1 DVD Pioneer, if they have a DVD player!

I'm still going thru my list of cdgs I removed due to "dupes"... maybe will give them some.

K.com had that pop pack for $15.00... maybe they'll chip it in!

Had a meeting at the VFW Post I belong to yesterday and they overwhelminglly voted to support this cause. Although they may not be the best set, when measuring the bang for the buck, we ordered the SGB 66 disc set with over 1000 songs. Posting this so we don't get duplicate contributions. Thanks also to anyone else supporting our military people who are doing so much for us.

Priddis Karaoke will be sending a complete set of their entire DVD collection along with catalogues (songbooks). We at Karaoke Scene certainly want to express our gratitude for this generosity. And a special thanks to Christian Nelson, Creative Director at Priddis, for all his personal help.

My retailer has committed to help with an unspecified number of CDG's & DVD's I will attempt to get that list and post it ASAP. This Week I'm in sessioning and cannot retrieve that list. But it has been committed to this cause.. and Again my personal thanks to Christian & the folks at Priddis for "Rising to the Occasion".

:D
