Well not knowing the model/power handling/ohms of the speaker, it will be kind of hard to answer. General rule of thumb is to get an amp that is rated double what your speakers RMS (not peak) power handling. This means if your speaker speaker handles 300 watts RMS power, then you amp should push approx 600 watts per channel. This is done for the reasons:
Better sound at normal listening levels.

Your amp will remain cooler & more stable since it won't be pushing as hard

Speaker failure happens more often by "underpowering" speakers. An underpowered amp will need to be turned up louder to get the same effect thus adding more distortion to the signal (a speakers main enemy).

It also depends on what your intentions are. You failed to mention if you are doing clubs/club size, indoor/outdoor shows or is this just for home use. If it's just for home use, an amp rated around 300 watts per channel should be more than fine.

Personally I prefer QSC, Pevey, or Crown amps i like them the best
they are reasonably priced and like loman said you need double the power the speakers call for .

Be carefull about reading spec's and what salesman tells you. a peavey pv1500 is only 600 watts with a 2 ohm load per channel. your speakers are probably 8 ohm meaning you would only have about 180 watts per channel. read the spec's carefully. a pv2600 is a good amp I have 2 of them.
