Little bit of a tempest in a teapot.

Sure. Somtimes Karaoke can Suck!

The key is
to savour the suckage...

Perfect karaoke is the final episodes of American Idol.
Real karaoke is the early auditions on American Idol.

I find the first ones much more entertaining.

To me (my opinion only) karaoke is most interesting when people go out on a limb and try something completely insane & wrong.
Where they might not succeed, and wow the crowd.

...as opposed to those guys who come in every week, and sing "Creep"

Yawn...

Success is simple. Don't try to do anything really hard.
It's how we deal with failure that difines us as human beings.

Gotta go.
Time for my Yoga class.

Little off topic, but responding to malibujesus.

Sometimes trying something so far out of character can be quite enlightening - Like the night it was a little slow, so we decided to do a round of "kamakaze Karaoke" and I happened to draw a Madonna song that I didn't have the slightest clue. Just listened to the sound of the music and went with it, then played it up for all it was worth. The crowd loved it. Don't recommend that very often though. Once in a while it can be a good outlet.

Read some of the posts on that site but wasn't impressed by the persons giving negative karaoke responses. Didja notice most of those were one or two lines and included name calling while the pro-karaoke responses were intelligent and factual actually making a point.
I didn't bother to post, why give them more fuel, eventually they'll burn themselves out if they're ignored.
