Can anyone tell me who might sell this song/disc?

My usually sources, Prosing and Expresskaraoke came up empty.

According to the song search this is the only disc that presently includes this song. Does anyone have any opinion on the general quality of Retro Classics products?[/i]

I don't have any first-hand knowledge of their quality, but I recall hearing some positive comments previously. They appear once in awhile on Ebay. I happened upon a karaoke store/website in Australia a while back that carried some of those discs. Can't remember the name of it though. Good luck.

Oh Man Emorej, You are looking for a needle in a haystack. I have the discs in my book.

During conversation with Priddis music recently I brought up the old Retro line. Apparently Priddis distributed the Retro classics line along with their own Lost Classics set but did it as a favor for an unnamed producer who was working with or for them at the time.

The Retro's are a cool set with a definite niche.

I think you are right BJC that Priddis has some linkage to Retro Classics.

I wonder if "White Punks on Dope" is out there on a CDG...I remember that one, but not the other.

Here's the site I was thinking of. Looks like they are down to only one RC disc left! Might want to send them a note though - maybe they can help anyway:

I have this song on a Rare Cuts Disc, vol 6902. It's a great disc, but now that I search for where I got it, I don't see any of my uusual vendors who carry it. It must have been something I got off Ebay.

Other interesting tracks on this disc:

She's a beauty
Twilight zone
Mexican Radio
jeopardy

I'll have to dig into my records and see if I can't determine where I got this disc from.

Stay tuned!

someone told me that the Rare Cuts were pirated discs!! I haven't found any proof of them yet, but you DON'T see them for sale on karaoke retailers!

clarkmusic.biz for a site that has Retro for sale.

I've figured out where I gt the disc from, and have sent an email to the seller to see if he can get his hands on another copy. I'll let you know as soon as I hear something.

Looking at my disc it has almost no wear. A true museum piece. I'm getting older and someday when Phill Cross opens up the national Karaoke Museum In Maryland, I'll be sure to tell my grandchildren to donate my Retro's to the cause.

OK--here's the poop on the Rare Cuts Disc.

I don't believe it to be a pirated disc, because it has none of the characteristics of a pirated disc. (as listed on the KAPA site)

I heard from the guy I bought it from and he said that rare cuts was a company out of Taiwan which no longer exists. That would explain why you don't see them for sale! It's too bad really, because it is a very good disc.

Priddis never sold any retro-classics. Priddis contracted with a different studio on some of the Lost Classics songs. This studio did their own thing after the first 10 lost classics and marketed them as "retro-classics".

I have sent an E-mail off to the Austrailian site linked looking for the whole set... if successful.. I'll let you know how many are available.. I'm only going to buy 2 sets for now. (if they are available.) 1 set if there less than 3.

Well I HAD posted a message with a couple places to get the Retro, but seems someone doesn't like that here.

I'm getting SO tired of this.

Not exactly right Jimbo. Last month while I was talking with Jim Eberhard the studio manager for Priddis he gave me the following response on Retro Classics:

Jim Eberhard, Studio Manager, Priddis Music

"The Retro Classics were never done by Priddis. We originally had a contract with a distributor to distribute the Lost Classics Series and they had the Retro Classics done, not Priddis"
