I'm curious if anyone can help me with a couple of questions. First, I'm curious about the demographics of this site and what type of music people expect. I have noticed that on Singers showcase, there are certain types of songs that get a lot of ratings/comments and others where there is absolutely no activity (like on mine). I don't expect to get much interest in some of the music that I have presented, but (as was pointed out in some earlier threads that karaoke sometimes tends to have a a bad reputation as serious entertainment) wouldn't karaoke get a better accecptance as serious entertainment if if crossed over into some other genres that you wouldn't normally associate karaoke with? Just a little food for thought. Would love to hear any comments on this.

Seems that anyone who submits a song is at the mercy of whomever decides to comment on it. There's the old saying, "You can lead a horse to water but ya can't make him drink." People simply listen to what they like. The Showcase is fairly new so I'm sure it will go through many changes. Seems there should be some assigned judges, this way songs don't get overlooked ... but ... judging is a thankless nonpaying job and would have to be voluntary ... till then ... it is what it is.

I'd like to review the Showcase. Unfortunately I'm stuck with dial-up and downloads take forever. There are only a few exchanges that only recently are able to get DSL. The cable companies don't offer anything yet and I refuse to pay for a dish. Oh well, maybe in another 6 mos. :(

I never went to that area. Interesting, and I'm glad you asked the questions, so I could hear the material posted. Nice job to all.
