Well, at least I know why it didn't come up on an e-bay search when I was casually checking...

You have it listed as "Sound Shoice." You might get more bids on it if you correct that in the listing.

What is so special about SC 8125? I don't have it, but I do have a lot of the 81 series.

It seems the Eagles have a problem with Karaoke.. They do not approve of it..

So the few that were printed were pulled from the shelves..

If you can find one, the price may go up..

Well they weren't exactly pulled from the shelves, but what everyone had to sell was it. There was no more to be had. The 8125 versions were pretty much the best of those songs - especially at the time (and now IMO). There are other labels that released many of those songs, but didn't do as good of a job at them although being they are now the only other source, you can say they did just as good of a job.

There is a certain mystique around the SC8125 disc which helps keep the cost high. not to mention if you want Sound Choice versions of The Eagles, some of the tracks only exist on that particular disc.

Some will say that other vendors produced "perfectly acceptable" versions of Eagles tracks. Acceptable and really good are miles apart. I believe the SC8125 disc is miles ahead of other vendors.

Now I remember that. I wanted that disk when I first started, but it was already discontinued and I ended up having to get Backstage, because it was the only Best of the Eagles available. Got one other song on StarDisk, but that was all the Eagles I had.

I once asked if 8125 was $500 better than Zoom's versions. The answer was that it was better but unless you were a collector not $500 better. With Zoom not being offensive I decided I could buy a lot of other songs with the savings. But if one dropped in my lap I would probably hold onto it. Hard to say.

Oh I definitely wouldn't spend that much on an 8125 if I didn't have it. Zoom did do a good job at what they have along with some from Karaoke Version & SBI too! The 8125 are the best versions, however not $500, $300 or even $100 better.

It is also used as a means of identifying pirates (at least I use it as such).

If I go to a computer based show and I see the SC8125 Eagles tracks in the book, I immediately suspect them as a pirate. So few of the discs we released and they were never re-released. What was made is all there is. Chances of any host having one is relatively small.

Then I check out the host directly. If I see a 50 yr old host then I am less suspicious because they may have actually been hosting when the disc was released and they may have actually bought one.

If I see a 20-30 year old host with the Eagles tracks, I move them more toward the side of being a pirate. The SC8125 disc was off the market before they would have been hosting. Chances of them having it is pretty low.
