We are planning on locking threads that start out in a non-piracy/legality area and then devolve into piracy/legality discussions. To help prevent this action, which we would prefer not to take, we ask that you start policing yourselves on thread hijack.

* Think, think, think before you post any suggestions about legality in areas besides those intended to discuss that.

* Report things to the moderator when you think they may cross the line into actual illegal sharing of files. We don't allow such posts, and will remove threads that ask for, or offer, copies of songs.

* If you think it warrants a post anyway, consider creating a new topic and putting it in the Karaoke Legalities, Piracy, and more area.

* We ask that the original poster defend their thread, and ask it to stay on topic. Others can help remind people taking the thread in that direction to move it to the other forum.

You may think that legality is so important that it needs to be considered at all times, but please honor the desire of people who simply want to live their lives and play their music without the peanut gallery analyzing the ramifications. Too often, that analysis and speculation leads to the same old wrangling we have seen a hundred times.

Thanks for posting this Mckyj. Now if only someone would read it, AND put it to use. I've been asking the same thing for over a year now, and nobody seems to be listening. They just keep going on their merry little way. Anyhow, thanks for the post....
