-Chris First of all; what is a mash up? There is an efficient way to make your own karaoke tracks. It's called karaoke Builder Studio. I have made close to a thousand of my own karaoke tracks with that software. I've got it down to an hour to make a really high quality tracks. If you want something badly enough; you'll learn how to make your own files.

Mash up? A combination of two different songs combined to make one. This would be a 'mashup' song. Classic DJ type mix.

It's more of a re-imagining of both songs using elements from both at the same time. A mashup blends both songs over the top of one another - singing one song completely over a different song entirely. Good to know that I can still learn something new every day. So it's more like a song parody than a medley. It's the same theory as a parody but the lyrics don't have any relation at all to the original song, right? Kind of like watching The Wizard of Oz while listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon.

Just go to youtube and search on Mashup. Just make sure you have some free time though. I always get sucked in.

No a parody is taking a song & changing the words completely to the original music but still singing it like the original - Weird Al, Bob Rivers/Twisted Tunes - those are paradies. They still sound like the original song with only different lyrics. Taking two or more songs and combining them into something new. This is my all time favorite. When they start trading verses, it's amazing...It sounds like an intentional duet done in a studio. He even made a video.

that's where I get my microphones all the time and got my stereo mixer from there they got a sweet old time looking microphone I would love to get but can't afford it  I love zzounds

The only issue i see is that a pirate can now torrent every karaoke song in existence and change the screens to something completely different, IE: his own logo or even a different manufacture.
This is gonna make it a tough road for the pirate hunters unfortunately.

Our player does not support LRC yet, but it is just a matter of parsing the text file, as we have MIDI karaoke player that uses timing information to render words. It is a thing we plan to do.
