KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Suzanne Lanoue performs Bad Moon Risin on Singer's Showcase - This is for Pam's challenge... hope you like it! There is still some distortion on the voice, but I haven't figured out why yet. This is recorded on Singsnap so...no mixing beyond what is done there. I added the reverb etc. in Goldwave. I don't like theirs - it seems to make the distortion worse.

Redhead1 Sometimes distortion (barring being too close too the mic and having the gain too high) could mean a sound card on its way out. I didn't notice a lot of distortion in this recording. You sounded really great, Suzanne - very energetic performance and your vocals were a pleasure. Hugs :)
Reply: Thanks! I think I figured it out tonight, and it's a couple of different things...the hole where the mic plugs in is going bad, for one thing (now won't work at all). For another, I think having the laptop on that particular table made weird vibrations. It sounds better when I move it to a more stable place. Now I can't record, though, without a working mic so....will have to see what I can do about that :) Thanks, glad you liked it!!

Steven John Always loved this rockin number...it's too bad you can only use Singsnap to record. I could definitely hear the voice was there!
Reply: Thanks! I have my karaoke machine, too, but it does not record that great, either...hoping to buy a new, much better machine in a few months.

JA.MARTINEZ Hi Suzanne, A delightful rendition of a classic CCR tune (a favorite band of mine, BTW). Excellent job! John
Reply: Thanks, John! I love their songs, too.

Andygurl Oh I could just imagine your vocals in a good mix... using that Singsnap is for the birds & with a voice like you have it should be heard front & center! This is a great tune & I must say you did a jam up job conveying it to us! :-)
Reply: Thanks! One of these days we'll get it figured out and I'll put up better recordings...
