KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Mark Cheetah performs Aces High on Singer's Showcase - Here's my weekly contribution for Metal Monday. Ken wanted to hear me do more Iron Maiden, and this one left me in a collapsed heap on the floor! I tried recording this one probably about 5 or 6 years ago, but gave up because it was just too difficult. There's some long instrumental breaks, and only 2 verses, which is probably a good thing... because those 2 verses kicked my butt! LOL I added my own harmonies in some spots. Thanks for listening!

PCornell Nice effects dude!! I can't tell that this kicked your ass man. lol. Things always seem to sound damn near perfect to me man! lol. I could be drunk...but I don't think so man.....lol! WTG!! Mark!! Yeah!!....Perry
Reply: Hey Perry, thanks dude! Yeah, this tune was frickin' tough. I make mistakes but I fix 'em. That's one of the reasons I'm impressed when people like you sing a song all the way through without multitracking! Thanks for noticing the effects... I went with this track instead of Sound Choice because they butchered their version by adding their own effects. Thanks for stopping by!

alouette99 You didn't really think I wasn't going to check this out did you :)? I love me my Maiden! Awesome job. But of course I knew you would kick a$$ on it. You asked me about the Evil that Men Do track. It's a sunfly track. Let me know if you need it. Oh, and have you ever done Megalomaniac by Incubus. LOVE that tune.
Reply: Hey Missi, it's so cool of you to stop by! Thanks for the offer... I already have The Evil That Men Do, though. It's on this crazy karaoke DVD that I got from Finland... it's got a bunch of rare tracks like Wrathchild and Hallowed Be Thy Name. I was SO bummed that "Flight Of Icarus" wasn't on there, though! I was just wondering if you had the same disc; it was in PAL format and was a pain to convert. I'm not familiar with that Incubus song but I'll look into it. Thanks for listening! :)

Steven John Whoa man haven't heard this since I saw them live with Priest sometime in the 80's. Mark those vocal scales were quite testing & those harmonies you put in were fantastic & made the song...super high voltage killer sub brother!
Reply: Hey Steven! What's up, my man? Yeah, those scales were tough! The 2nd part of the verses... the "jump in the cockpit & start up the engines" and the "bandits at 8 o'clock move in behind us" parts. Frickin' hard as hell. The harmonies were the easy part! LOL Dude, thanks for stopping by... I appreciate it!
