Reply: LOL I've been singing this kind of stuff for years that its almost second nature now. Songs like this are a challenge for me though since I record live to a CD recorder. After going through that heavy section, back to the melodic section with no time to breathe is really difficult. I could tell I struggled a bit trying to maintain control. I'd love to learn to record thru my PC...I have the software, but I also have the attention span of a butterfly. Thanks much!! :) :) |

Hey Drea; Made yours my 1st listen of the morning. .. the bday part is still continuing..My first time hearing it and i like it, it's metal with melody.. rough and ready but melodic!! Did you do that extra vocal in the first part of it? One of your best, imo...Joyce |
Reply: I was happy to see that Mark's party kept on going...I was late, but didn't miss it LOL. The first time I heard this song was by a female fronted metal band in a bar. I ran out the next day and bought both CDs if Drain STH and I wasn't disappointed (although the 2nd one was better). A lot of their songs combined rich melodies with extreme guitars and it just drew me in. As for the extra vocal, it was on the backing track. Thanks so much for your listening support and comments!! Reply: I was so happy to finally get a song recorded...I haven't been singing (I have way too many interests and one has to take a back seat now and then to let another surface for awhile) and nothing I was working on came together. I was going through my karaoke book and saw this....I knew I could pull it off - just had to do a couple run throughs to make sure I remembered it. I was just glad to be able to participate in Mark's birthday - I've missed so many!! Thanks so much!! Hugsssss :) :) |

You have that natural grit to your vocals which makes you so interesting when I hear you sing Drea! I heard a lot of chicks trying to cover songs like this & without that grit, just doesn't cut it for me. This was wild, rock On girl! :-) **EDIT** Oh Drea, forgive me, I just replied to you On my KISS song & I thought it was my Dylan song I was replying On so my reply comment won't make too much sense LOL! I guess I'm over tired tonight from too much SS partying LMAO! |
Reply: LMAO I read your comment to me and thought "wha??" Then I went back to your profile and saw you had posted a Dylan song Monday and figured out what happened. No problem!! I know how crazy it gets when you have to type a lot of comments and replies :) Anyway as for this song, I hadn't sung it in a couple of years, but I've got to add it back to my list...it was really fun to sing!! vettelady performs Enter My Mind on Singer's Showcase of Karaoke Scene Magazine Online: vettelady performs Enter My Mind on Singer's Showcase - Mark...I'm so sorry I'm late to the party...I must have tried on 8 different songs over the last 3 days and none of them was going where I wanted. All I know is I wanted to go heavy heavy heavy for the SS Metal god. I initially recorded this almost 3 years ago, but this is fresh off the recorder...my first recording since last May. This band is one of my favorites from the late 90's especially since they were a female metal band. Hope you had the best birthday!! Thanks to anyone who listens and I'll be around after work tomorrow to catch up with everyone. I'm entering "Mother's Day Prep Week" and have to put in a long day at the shop tomorrow, but I'll definitely make up for it when I get home. Hugsssss, Drea :) :)
